WASHINGTON – The Ukrainian National Credit Union Association (UNCUA) held its 37th annual meeting and spring conference on June 7-9 in Washington. Thirty participants representing 12 Ukrainian American credit unions in the U.S. gathered to lobby their legislators on Capitol Hill, meet with Ambassador Valeriy Chaly at the Embassy of Ukraine, hear presentations on current topics of interest to credit union leaders and elect a new board of directors. The conference commenced on Thursday morning with a briefing on talking points concerning Ukraine and credit unions, in order to prepare participants for scheduled visits with their legislators on Capitol Hill that afternoon. An eccentric art dealer who claims to have hidden treasure worth millions of pounds in the Rocky Mountains says 350,000 people have tried and failed to find to find the riches. Forrest Fenn, 87, warned it could be “1,000 years from now” before hunters discover the whereabouts of the chest filled with gold nuggets and precious gems.
