Sir Chris Hoy is has joined the BBC for their coverage of the inaugural European Championships this month. The European Championships of Athletics, Aquatics, Cycling, Golf, Gymnastics, Rowing and Triathlon have joined together to make one new multi-sport event. Who is Sir Chris Hoy? The 42-year-old Scotsman is a former track cyclist who competed in four summer Olympic Games. He grew up in Murrayfield near Edinburgh and began cycling at the age of six after he was inspired by the 1982 film ET. Before he moved on to track cycling, he rode a BMX bike until the age of 15 and was ranked second in Britain, fifth in Europe and ninth in the World. Hoy has said that he first noticed track cycling during the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh when Scottish sprinter Eddie Alexander won a bronze medal. That said, one mum has caused a stir online after she revealed she hasn't taught her children about the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy as she doesn't think it's "healthy". In a viral TikTok, Nevada Shareef said: "Name something about the way you raise your kids that people think is weird, but you think has been really healthy for them. I'll go first..." The mum said she's never told her children about Santa or the Easter Bunny because she doesn't want to "build their hopes up, only to have them crushed later." Kew Gardens to host Beano event for Easter with fun games and heaps of mischief

Dennis the Menace will be celebrating 70 years since his first appearance in the Beano comics this year, and families can join in on the fun! That's because Kew Gardens and Wakehurst will both be marking the milestone in style with a 'Big Bonanza' just in time for the Easter holidays. (At the time of writing, England's lockdown roadmap sets out that outdoor attractions can reopen from April 12). There will be plenty of fun along the away from a giant 3D Beano comic strip to some delicious edible treats, as well as an interactive trail where you can join Dennis and his friends on a mission to protect bananas.
