The UK's first cases of the Brazil variant of coronavirus have been detected, with up to six people infected with the mutant strain. An urgent search was launched to find one of the six as officials have no idea who they are or where they live. That's because that person didn't fill in their test registration card. The P.1 variant is one of four variants of concern, and measures were brought in to prevent it from being brought into the country. THE boyfriend of a £5.5million lottery winner who was stabbed in the face at their luxury home has denied trying to kill her. Stephen Gibbs, 45, will stand trial accused of the attempted murder of partner Emma Brown, 49, at their £700,000 home . Ms Brown scooped the huge sum around three years ago and quit her job to move into the detached cottage. She required surgery following the alleged knife attack in Barry, South Wales on January 30. A desperate mum says she has been left 'begging the council' for a new home after hers was left riddled with damp. Anne Davidson, who suffers from advanced COPD, claims her already severe health issues are being made worse inside the property in Cloventsone, Edinburgh. The 41-year-old says the home is 'crumbling' and 'covered in dark mould' due to a leak on her roof. The woman has been told by the council that she is on the high priority list due to her health issues and the problems with her house, but she claims that she has been waiting for a new home for a number of years now, despite constantly complaining that her health is getting worse. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a health condition that affects the lungs, gradually getting worse over time and limiting your normal activities. Because of the health issues, Anne says she can't move too far away from where she lives as she is often so ill that she needs to get a taxi to her nearby receptionist job at an … [Read more...] about Desperate mum begs council for new home after spending years in damp-riddled house
UNLESS you were one of the lucky few who squeezed a salon appointment in over summer, you've probably been cutting and colouring your own hair for almost a year now. And while we thought we had it bad with our wonky split ends, one woman has put us off box hair dyes forever after she accidentally dyed herself PURPLE. Posting on Reddit's Today I F***ed Up forum, the anonymous beauty fan explained how she was trying to dye her hair black at home. She wrote: "Today I decided to dye my hair black with a semi-permanent dye I bought. "Black dye is presumably made up of very dark blue and purple shades." Although everything was going fine at first, things took a turn when she hopped in the shower to rinse the $8 Amazon dye out of her hair. She continued: "The dye ran all over my entire body, and unlike previous dyes I’ve used it dyed my skin. "I spent 30 mins in the shower trying to get it off, but I couldn’t so I am now purple until it comes out or I figure something … [Read more...] about Woman in hysterics after her at-home hair dye fail leaves her looking like ‘Barney the Dinosaur’
