A Sydney bar is set to host a one-off event for courageous diners to enjoy cheeky drinks and food while completely naked. Stitch Bar on York Street has teamed up with Young Nudists of Australia to run 'Bottoms Up Sydney' - a Sunday session to be held on October 27. Upon entrance, patrons will be given a lanyard with a plastic pocket to store any cash and a credit card - before they head downstairs to remove their clothing in a change room. Guests are asked to keep their footwear on between 3pm and 8pm - and to bring a towel with them to sit on at the strictly non-sexual event. According to a new survey by consumer research group Kantar, one in three UK wine drinkers don’t like spending more than £5 per bottle. It’s said anything north of that feels too expensive for a quiet night in. But, after a decade of tax hikes and subsequent rising wine prices, sniffing out bottles at this level is becoming increasingly difficult. Spend £5 on a wine and a staggering 64 per cent of the cost now goes to the Treasury. That’s £2.23 per bottle before VAT. Take out the packaging, shipping and distribution costs — and the retailer’s cut — and you’re left with less than 50p worth of wine in the bottle.
