Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 6 Trend: The strategic goals, targets and directions of activities of the transformation of the Azerbaijan State Economics University (UNEC) to the research university were defined in the “UNEC-100” Development Strategy. According to the strategy, in order to become the research university, the UNEC has focused on bringing the master’s degree level and doctorate level of education in line with the progressive world-class experience, creating the “brain center” with the high rating at national and international levels, annually increasing the number of research projects carried out on the basis of orders and grants, reaching the budget of the uiversity to 20 percent. No-deal Brexit would harm cancer research, universities warn in letter
Revolutionary cancer treatments and anti-climate change technology are among UK-led research that would be "compromised" by a no-deal Brexit, university and college leaders have warned. Groups representing more than 150 higher education centres across the UK have written to MPs warning that leaving the EU without a deal could lead to "an academic, cultural and scientific setback from which it would take decades to recover". President appoints new head of National Defense Research University
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 27, ARMENPRESS. President Armen Sarkissian has appointed Genadi Tavaratsyan head of the National Defense Research University of the Defense Ministry, Sarkissian’s Office said. Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 18 Trend: During the meeting of the UNEC Scientific Council the changes have been approved for the 2018-2019-th academic year on the “Regulations for the Differential Wage System based on the Assessment of the professional activity of Academic and Teaching staff at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics”. The main goal of the amendments is to achieve the strategic target of transforming UNEC into the research university. The Differential Wage system covers the academic-teaching staff working on the full-time basis, 0,75 staff and 0,5 staff with substitute teaching at UNEC.
