Kris Marshall has never actually watched an episode of Doctor Who , despite being constantly linked to the show. Before Ncuti Gatwa was announced as the new Time Lord earlier this year, Kris was in the running for the role , and was a favourite to replace Jodie Whittaker last year. However, while his name may have been circulating around the new role, the Love Actually star has never even been approached, nor actually seen an episode. The family of a man who died from a series of seizures after being arrested have accused medical staff of treating him like a ‘faker’. Raphael Gill, 29, had a total of six seizures and died in hospital in November 2019 after being detained for drug offences and speeding. Officers requested an ambulance ‘multiple times’ as he had the first three seizures in the back of their police car. When paramedics did arrive, Raphael, who had a history of seizures, was not medically assessed, official documents say. Once in the ambulance, he had a fourth but was only seen by doctors on the floor of A&E at Lewisham and Greenwich Hospital after his fifth. Before his sixth and final seizure, the father-of-two was recorded saying: ‘I’m going to die’ before taking his last breath. It’s not often I am delighted to be on double one, but I couldn’t be happier to announce that my wife Samantha and I have now got a second child in the Wade household. Our youngest son, Alfie, was born on Thursday and after some early worries, both mother and baby are now home safe and healthy. It was a bit of a mad dash for me, as I was at the Players Championship events in Barnsley on Wednesday. While I was keen to focus on the job at hand, it is far easier said than done when your mind is hundreds of miles away worrying about your family. With the benefit of hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have gone to Barnsley as my heart was at home with Samantha, but I have always wanted to give my all to the game and try to pick up ranking points wherever possible.
