Police have made a number of arrests after searching the offices of Spanish football giants FC Barcelona. No details have been released about how many people have been detained or their identities, with a Catalan police spokeswoman only revealing that the raid followed an investigation by the force's financial crimes unit. Officials at Barcelona confirmed the club's Camp Nou stadium offices had been searched. In a statement, the La Liga side - currently second in the table - said they had offered up their "full collaboration to the legal and police authorities to help make clear facts which are subject to investigation". "The information and documentation requested by the judicial police force relate strictly to the facts relative to this case," the club added. Threatened BBC radio station 6 Music has enjoyed a huge audience surge with a 50 per cent rise in online listeners. The year-on-year increase is the biggest for any of the corporation's national stations during that period, according to the BBC's own research. Proposals to scrap the station - which broadcasts shows hosted by the likes of Jarvis Cocker - have prompted a backlash, with even Prime Minister Gordon Brown giving the station his support. The other national digital station which faces the chop, Asian Network, saw its listener numbers grow 33 per cent in 12 months. BBC online usage figures show that 6 Music has a bigger internet audience than Radio 3. Radio 3 had 97,342 online listeners in March - a 20 per cent decline compared with March 2009 - while 6 Music had 133,653. 6 Music registered more than twice as many live listening hours than R3, with 1.6 million (more than doubling in a year) compared with the largely classical station's 710,605. Official listening … [Read more...] about 6 Music enjoys audience increase
