Denise Van Outen has stepped out with a new man after her devastating split from long-term partner Eddie Boxshall. The popular TV personality was spotted on what looked to be a fairly romantic date while attending the lavish Grand Prix Ball in London this week. According to the Daily Mail , the new man on her arm is Jimmy Barba, a 55-year-old property developer. It’s the first time Denise has been potentially linked to a new romance since breaking things off with her fiance Eddie six months ago. The Gogglebox stars went their separate ways in January this year after Eddie was found to be sending sexually explicit messages to other women. City trader Eddie first remained tight-lipped but later admitted to the messages , however he insisted it happened only one time after he had been drinking, and claimed other photos of women on his iPad were entirely innocent. While neither Denise nor apparent new man Jimmy have commented publicly on their links, the … [Read more...] about Denise Van Outen goes public with new man on red carpet date after split from ex Eddie Boxshall

It has been in the hands of a private European collector since 1973 but will be auctioned by Christie's in October. Uniformed police told not to march at London Pride by organisers
Published 2 days ago Share close Share page Copy link About sharing Uniformed police officers have been asked not to join the annual London Pride march on Saturday. Organisers said it reflected the "very real concerns" of the LGBTQ+ community. It follows accusations by campaigners of "very serious evidence of police homophobia" within the Met Police, especially over its handling of four murders of gay men by Stephen Port. The Met said it recognised some incidents had "damaged trust and confidence in policing". Thousands of people are expected to line the route of Saturday's Pride parade in central London, which will mark the 50th anniversary of the first Pride march in 1972. 'Extreme homophobia' Pride in London said it worked "hard to strike a balance between the very real, legitimate concerns" of its community as well as being "welcoming", and that the presence of … [Read more...] about Uniformed police told not to march at London Pride by organisers
Ron Howard: Creating vision of a future Mars colony
By Paul Rincon Published 6 November 2018 Share close Share page Copy link About sharing To mark the second season of the television series Mars, Hollywood director Ron Howard talked to the BBC about creating a realistic depiction of the first human colonies on the Red Planet. If humankind is to expand out into the Universe, then Mars is likely to be our first stepping stone. With an atmosphere largely consisting of carbon dioxide and temperatures that vary between 20C and -125C, the Red Planet isn't exactly ideal for human occupation. We'd have to adapt to living almost entirely within sealed habitats - so outdoors-y types need not apply. But there is perhaps a bigger issue in play. Colonising Mars would provide humankind with a lifeboat, ensuring our species' survival if some giant catastrophe were to befall civilisation - let's say an asteroid strike, or an ecological breakdown. … [Read more...] about Ron Howard: Creating vision of a future Mars colony
