He is also a recluse, who lives in self-imposed exile in the US. An apparent power struggle between his followers and those around the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has reached a new pitch of intensity and loathing. Since arriving in the US in the late 1990s, Mr Gulen, 74, has not given a single broadcast interview. What rare communication there has been with the media has almost exclusively been conducted via email. But now, the BBC has had exclusive access to the Muslim cleric. A BRAZILIAN bodybuilder and TikTok star who gained 1.6 million followers by pumping himself up with oil has died on his 55th birthday. Valdir Segato had been using life-threatening synthol injections for years to produce Hulk-like muscles despite warnings from doctors. The online star gained fans around the world with his eye-popping muscles, which were filled with a dangerous concoction of oil, alcohol and painkillers. He had been using the synthol injections for years to achieve his massive physique, but it appears to have also led to his passing. Local media reported he was taken to hospital today complaining of shortness of breath at his home in Ribeirao Preto, southeast Brazil . Segato's neighbours revealed to local media that despite his millions of followers, the bodybuilder had lived as a recluse with few friends or visitors over the years. He has proclaimed himself prince and runs his principality from a penthouse on the 22nd storey of a five-star Christchurch hotel. Victor Cattermole, a former contender for the city’s mayoralty (1025 votes in 2013), has spent his life dreaming up schemes and making extravagant claims . His latest business idea is a virtual state called Cogito residing in the metaverse , which citizens pay various fees to join. Cattermole, also known in Cogito as “chairman of the Crown Council”, says on Cogito’s website the principality was established as a decentralised libertarian state, “first developed in the early 1990s by a reclusive dyslexic entrepreneur. The mastermind documentation around the technology and concept was locked away for many years until it was stumbled upon in early 2017”.
