Jurgen Klopp has admitted Naby Keita is still adapting to life at Liverpool, but said he was looking forward to watching the "outstanding" midfielder blossom at Anfield. Keita officially became a Reds player in July after the club agreed an unusual deal with RB Leipzig back in August 2017, but the all-action Guinea international has had a subdued first few months on Merseyside. The former Leipzig star has had a watching brief from the bench for the last three Liverpool games, but could come into contention for Monday's visit to Wolves in the third round of the FA Cup. Having already confirmed Simon Mignolet and Alberto Moreno as starters for the game at Molineux, Klopp stopped short of revealing a place for Keita against Nuno Espirito Santo's side. After a dramatic 11 days, Vanarama National League club Gateshead have finished the week with some positive news. Steve Watson has agreed to stay as manager and pilot a much-changed squad through what will likely be choppy waters this season. Following the late collapse of a foreign consortium’s bid to take over Gateshead , the club’s very future was put in doubt. Those fears were allayed when current owners Richard and Julie Bennett decided they did not want to be responsible for ending 88 years of football in Gateshead. The Bennetts backing will now extend until a fourth year, but on a severely reduced budget that will be the lowest in the division. Gateshead remain for sale but the Bennetts’ continuation at the helm has bought time and taken the pressure off for now. Motorists heading the air show are being steered towards two large park-and-ride sites on the outskirts of the town. Signs will be in place on roads leading to the town – and some junctions, including Acle roundabout, will have marshals providing guidance. The park and ride schemes are: South – Beacon Park, Gorleston – for visitors from the south via the A143 from Fritton or A47 (formerly A12) from Hopton/ Lowestoft). Bus drop off – South Beach Parade. A North Lincolnshire powerlifter is ready to take on the world at a global tournament in Canada. Joy Mineo, 50, discovered the sport after joining a gym as a way of keeping fit and less than a year after her first competition, she took part in the European Masters in Sweden in March and returned with a bronze medal. Now, the former restaurant owner, who lives in Brigg, is preparing to jet off to Calgary to represent Great Britain in the International Powerlifting Federation Classic World Championships on Wednesday, June 6. Laura Dolan will be zip wiring off the maternity block Picture: SARAH LUCY BROWN Many of the fundraisers will be dressed as superheroes as they jump off the 135 ft tall maternity unit to raise money for their chosen area of the hospital. The event replaces the annual abseil from the building and was so popular that organisers had to add an extra day so more people could take part. One of those taking part is Laura Dolan who is raising money for the Blossom Appeal after being treated for breast cancer herself at the hospital.
