Rare human viruses

Mass species extinction is taking place right before our eyes, and yet most of us hardly notice. The dying can't circulate online petitions or stage demonstrations. Often, we don't even know they exist. Of the estimated 8 million animal, fungi and plant species on our planet, only a fraction have been scientifically documented, according to the international biodiversity council IPBES. Yet according to scientists, the world may lose nearly 1 million species by 2030, with one species already becoming extinct every 10 minutes. This is catastrophic, because a world that lacks diversity is a dangerous place for all species, including humans. Later this year, at the second phase of the 15th UN Biodiversity Conference in Montreal, Canada almost 200 countries hope to agree on a new international framework for the protection of biodiversity . A bizarre "human-meat" flavoured burger has won a top award. The bizarre burger is said to taste exactly like human flesh, despite being completely meat free and vegan friendly. Its creator, Swedish food company Oumph!, said it had even worked to get the perfect texture of flesh for their cannibalistic creation. However a spokesperson for the company insisted: "No humans were injured in the development of this product." The burger was crafted from soya, mushrooms and wheat protein as well as plant-based fats and "a mysterious spice mix". The spokesperson added: "The curious and fearless get a chance to try the world's first plant-based burger resembling human meat. CLASSIC cars worth a combined £80million will be on show in the centre of London this week - but you might just miss it. That's because it happens at the Honorable Artillery Company at Finsbury Square - immaculate lawns hidden away behind buildings on all sides. London Concours will be running from 28-30 June this week and Sun readers can get 50% off tickets. Around 100 classic cars will be on show with some of the rarest models in the world featured.
