It is though the last decade in which Rangers have added a chapter that might be called "the fall and rise" but that would not quite capture the magnitude of the turmoil Rangers found themselves in back in 2012. The hordes of buoyant Rangers fans landing in Seville ahead of the Europa League final were in a very different place 10 years ago - there were tears outside the gates of Ibrox as the news was confirmed that this famous old club was to be liquidated. MANCHESTER UNITED legend Rio Ferdinand understands Jesse Lingard's brother's anger as he also was "p****d off" with his send off in 2014. Lingard's brother Louie Scott slammed United and branded them "classless" after the England international was denied a farewell appearance at Old Trafford two weeks ago against Brentford. The versatile midfielder is set to leave the Red Devils after 22 years at Old Trafford when his contract expires in June. Ferdinand admitted that the Manchester giants are "one of the worst" clubs at paying tribute to notable departing players as he also was offloaded to Queens Park Rangers a year before his retirement. However, the legendary defender insists Louie Scott's outburst lacked "a bit of awareness" as other more popular figures before Lingard were also denied a send off.
