Music mogul Diddy endorsed Democratic nominee Joe Biden for president while announcing his new “Our Black Party.” In a lengthy Twitter thread posted on Friday, the rapper said that black people need to help get Trump out of office and then hold Biden’s feet to the fire. “The NUMBER ONE priority is to get Trump out of office. HE HAS TO GO. We can’t allow this man to continue to try and DIVIDE US,” said Diddy. “The people that have the most responsibility and should be SCARED TO DEATH of this man are white people. WE ARE ON THE VERGE OF A RACE WAR.” “Things have got too serious. It would be irresponsible of me to have us hold our vote hostage,” he continued. “But it would also be irresponsible of me to let this moment go by and not make sure going forward we are doing what it takes to own our politics.” Things have got too serious. It would be irresponsible of me to have us hold our vote hostage. But it would also be irresponsible of me to let this moment go by and not make sure … [Read more...] about Diddy Launches ‘Our Black’ Political Party, Endorses Joe Biden: ‘We Are On The Verge Of A Race War’ | The Daily Wire

Race and the Schools: A Crisis North and South
THE ATLANTIC Race and the Schools:A Crisis North and South BY AGNES E. MEYER THE greatest single reward I have had as a result of my long and continuous efforts on behalf of our Negro fellow citizens is that we tell one another the truth — a rare achievement between the two races. Just after World War II, I was dining with seven members of the faculty at one of our Negro universities. In the course of conversation a young instructor said to me: “Mrs. Meyer, after Pearl Harbor I couldn’t help feeling a secret exultation that a colored race had clobbered the white man.” “My friend,” I replied, “never forget that despite failures and injustices, Americans have done more for the Negro than any other nation on the face of the globe. We fought a civil war to establish his freedom. Since then thousands of whites in high and low positions have exhibited an interest in the Negro’s welfare and development never before, shown by a dominant race. On the whole the treatment of the Negro in … [Read more...] about Race and the Schools: A Crisis North and South
Andy Murray in race against time to be fully fit for Wimbledon
Andy Murray still fully intends to play Wimbledon next week but says he faces a race against time to prove his fitness as his abdominal injury continues to hamper his preparations. Two-time Wimbledon champion Murray, 35, sustained the injury in the Stuttgart Open final just over a week ago, and was forced to withdraw from Queen's last Monday as a result. He confirmed on Monday that, though training with coach Ivan Lendl was otherwise going well, he was still struggling to practise some shots - thought to include his serve - and was facing a race against time to be fully fit. "The positive is that I've been able to get on the practice court and hit balls and work on a lot of different things, but there's specific shots that I have not been able to practise and that has obviously hampered the preparations," Murray said. "The next couple of days are pretty important for me. Obviously the plan is still to play. The injury that I had is improving. I've had it rescanned since … [Read more...] about Andy Murray in race against time to be fully fit for Wimbledon
Fulham set to lose out in Manor Solomon transfer race as Nice join battle for Shakhtar Donetsk striker
FULHAM are facing the prospect of losing out on forward Manor Solomon with French club Nice attempting to hijack the deal. The Israel international has been a long term target for boss Marco Silva and is close to joining the Cottagers from Ukrainian side Shakthar Donetsk. Silva's side have all but agreed a deal worth around £7million for the 22-year-old but have not yet fully completed. Sources close to the player believe that all aspects are ready to go on the deal and that they are just awaiting the final seal from Fulham. As the newly promoted side delay, however, Nice are trying to muscle in. The Ligue 1 side, owned by British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, have offered a bigger fee to Shakthar and a larger wage to Solomon than that on offer from West London. Max Verstappen leaps to defence of girlfriend’s dad Nelson Piquet over N-word row
Max Verstappen has rushed to the defence of Nelson Piquet after his N-word slur towards Formula One rival Lewis Hamilton . Three-time world champion Piquet, 69, has been widely condemned for his comments about Hamilton after last year’s British Grand Prix recently came to light. Hamilton and his fellow drivers have all called for change, while Verstappen, who is dating Piquet’s daughter Kelly, claims the incident has been “blown out of proportion.” The 2021 champion stated on Thursday that Piquet was “not correct” to use certain phrases when talking about Hamilton on a podcast. But the Dutchman went on to defend Piquet by claiming he is a “nice guy” and “not a racist”. Christian Horner admits Michael Masi made “mistake” during Abu Dhabi title decider
Red Bull boss Christian Horner has conceded former F1 race director Michael Masi made one key error during his handling of the contentious finish to last season’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton was on course to secure a record-breaking eighth world title at the 2021 season finale, only for Nicholas Latifi’s crash to trigger a late-race safety car and bunch the field up. The lapped cars between Hamilton and Max Verstappen were initially told they could not overtake the leader, only for that decision to be reversed on the penultimate lap while the lapped cars behind the Red Bull were ordered to hold station. That gave Verstappen one racing lap to overtake Hamilton and pinch the title, which he managed comfortably, sparking jubilation in the Red Bull camp and outcry at Mercedes. Max Verstappen out to settle score at British Grand Prix after Lewis Hamilton clash
Max Verstappen will have a score to settle at Silverstone this weekend following his controversial clash with Lewis Hamilton last year, according to his father Jos. As the pair diced for the lead at the 2021 British Grand Prix, Verstappen and Hamilton touched at the ultra-fast Copse corner, with Verstappen spearing into the barriers at high speed. The Dutchman was taken to hospital as a precaution but fortunately escaped injury. Hamilton incurred a 10-second penalty for causing the collision but still went on to win the race following a late pass on Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Verstappen is favourite to win this year’s race and stretch his already healthy championship lead, with his main challengers set to be the Ferraris of Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
