A brain scan could be enough to tell whether a child will grow up to be a creative adult, according to scientists. The idea that right-brained people are more creative is a myth, they say, but communication between the two hemispheres does help to determine creativity. The breakthrough could lead to youngsters being screened so they know what they're likely to excel in at school - helping them to choose an early career path. "Maybe by scanning a person's brain we could tell what they're likely to be good at," said Dr David Dunson of Duke University in North Carolina. The findings could also be used to spot early signs of dementia and other neurological conditions.
