BBC journalist Martin Bashir will not face a criminal investigation over documents related to his interview with Princess Diana, the Metropolitan Police says. It had been alleged the journalist forged bank statements in order to secure the landmark Panorama interview with the Princess of Wales in 1995. But in a statement, the Met said officers had sought legal advice from internal lawyers, independent counsel and the Crown Prosecution Service and determined it was "not appropriate" to launch a criminal probe. The documents were alleged to have been used to falsely show payments were made to members of royal staff in exchange for information about the princess. Diana's younger brother Earl Spencer has said he was shown the documents and went on to connect his sister with Bashir - something the earl says he would not have done had he not been misled. A SEVEN-year-old girl has died days after a house fire that killed married couple and their four-year-old daughter. Little Iviee-May Hall died in Bristol's Childrens' Hospital last week where she had been in a critical condition. Married couple Daniel Rudge, 29, and Kaylie Rudge, 28, also died in the fire at their home in Clayton Road, Exeter, on February 21 . Their four-year-old twin daughter Lillie-Rose Rudge died the same day after being taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital. Devon's senior coroner Philip Spinney opened inquests into all four deaths today. Mr Spinney said the causes are yet to be established and further investigations are pending. He adjourned the inquests for "further inquiries to be made" including the preparation of a full fire investigation report into how the blaze started. Buckingham Palace tonight launched a probe into allegations of bullying by Meghan Markle in the latest explosive twist in the Megxit saga. In an unprecedented move the Palace released a statement saying "we are very concerned" at claims the Duchess bullied staff . The bombshell statement said: "We are clearly very concerned about allegations in The Times following claims made by former staff of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex . Accordingly our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article.
