The stolen £3.5 million Portland tiara was broken down and will never again be seen in its original form, police believe, as the thieves, one of whom also robbed England footballers, were convicted. Ashley Cumberpatch, Kurtis Dilks and Andrew MacDonald were all unanimously found guilty of their part in the theft of the Portland Tiara , which has never been recovered. Dilks, 35, was also convicted for carrying out the “horrific” robbery of former England international Ashley Cole , during which gang members threatened to cut his fingers off with pliers. The Canadian zoo has been shut following the incident with a "small number" of wolves still roaming free. Most of the wolves are now back in their enclosure but a frantic search is still underway for the rest.
