Prince Harry joins Hamilton cast, pretends to be king – then says “not going to happen”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle threw themselves into their royal duties Wednesday, attending a special performance of the hit musical Hamilton in London, with the prince briefly treading the boards himself. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined Hamilton creator Lin Manuel-Miranda at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London for a charity performance of the Alexander Hamilton biographical. After the show, Harry took to the stage to address the audience and cast members, the BBC reported. One of the characters in the show is British King George III. While speaking to the audience after the show, Harry began to sing one of George III's songs—"You'll Be Back"—in which the monarch warns colonial rebels they will regret their uprising and "remember you belong to me." The prince quickly stopped, assuring attendees, "That's definitely not going to happen." According to Sky News, Miranda spoke to reporters ahead of the performance, noting, "The prince's sixth-great-grandfather is a … [Read more...] about Prince Harry joins Hamilton cast, pretends to be king – then says “not going to happen”
Meghan Markle’s father Thomas hung up on “rude” Prince Harry during heated phone call
Meghan Markle's father Thomas told reporters that he had dramatically hung up on Prince Harry during a heated phone discussion about the press. On Saturday night, the Duchess of Sussex's father, 74, told the Mail on Sunday that he lied to the newlyweds over the phone about staging a series of photos for the paparazzi while he was in hospital recovering from a heart attack. Although he described the timing of the phone call as "rude," he admitted that Prince Harry was "absolutely" right to condemn him for his behavior. Markle revealed that he made secret arrangements to take a series of staged photographs for the paparazzi , including ones of him being fitted with a suit ahead of the wedding. Markle admitted to then lying about the shots during a phone call with Prince Harry. "If you had listened to me this would never have happened," Markle recalls the prince saying over the phone, before he responded: "Maybe it would be better for you guys if I was dead... then you … [Read more...] about Meghan Markle’s father Thomas hung up on “rude” Prince Harry during heated phone call
Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha wants $1,500 per radio appearance to talk about the royals
Meghan Markle's half-sister Samantha wanted $1,500 from a radio station to discuss the royal family earlier this week. In an email conversation between The Domenick Nati Show and Samantha, obtained by Newsweek , the duchess's sister wanted $1,500 for a phone interview that would be played on the radio. "I would do it for you for 1500," she wrote on Thursday, noting that her minimum is usually "much higher." "But I would only do it if I'm not being set up by a shock jock who wants to be rude and slam the phone down because I worked in radio I am good with comebacks so I don't want to embarrass the host," Samantha added. "If it's a straightforward interview that's cool." Following the exchange, The Domenick Nati Show refused to pay the large fee and ended their request. After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married at Windsor Castle in May, the show reached out to Samantha through Facebook for an interview to discuss her newlywed sibling but she did not respond until this … [Read more...] about Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha wants $1,500 per radio appearance to talk about the royals
Samantha Grant claims she’s not “cashing in” on sister Meghan Markle’s fame
Despite recently charging a radio station for an interview, Meghan Markle's half-sister Samantha Grant claimed she isn't "cashing in" on her younger sibling's newfound royal status and fame. Grant appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain on Monday where she discussed her pay-for interviews and the ongoing drama surrounding her sister and their father, Thomas Markle. "I worked in media most of my life and in broadcasting, so because my sister is suddenly royal isn't grounds for me to stop doing all of that," Grant said. "Let's face it—we all have to survive. Money makes the world go round, so if you want to call that cashing in, that's fine. But I think no one in media would refuse a paycheck for talking about the royal[s] and, as a family, we're not subject to royal protocol. Why would I stop living because we have a family issue going on?" She added: "No one has a copyright on our life experiences and so, I think the public forgets that within the family, we're each individuals … [Read more...] about Samantha Grant claims she’s not “cashing in” on sister Meghan Markle’s fame
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry give their guests seven-page rules list, which includes “no swords”
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have handed royal wedding guests a seven-page document outlining rules for the big day. Those rules include no gifts, no phones, and absolutely no swords. "Guests are advised that there are very limited toilet facilities in St George's Chapel, but these are available for guests' use between 9am and 11am at which point this facility will become restricted for the duration of the service," the guidelines said, according to the Daily Mail , with bathroom facilities reopening after 1pm. And guests will not be permitted to take their own snaps as a way to remember the day, with phones or "any device used for … [Read more...] about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry give their guests seven-page rules list, which includes “no swords”
Prince Harry, growing up without Princess Diana
In 1997, Newsweek reported extensively on the untimely death of Princess Diana and its aftermath. In this piece, Jerry Adler and Donna Foote report on how the tragedy will affect Diana's children, Prince William and Prince Harry. We are republishing the piece on the occasion of Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle. She had tried, she often said, to give her two sons as normal a life as possible. So when Prince William said he'd like to meet one of the world's most beautiful women, Diana did what any mother of a teenage boy would do—phoned Cindy Crawford, whom she barely knew, and invited her to tea. Arriving at Kensington Palace, the supermodel found herself alone in a room with William, where they chatted for a few minutes until Diana joined them, and, noticing her son blushing, confided to Crawford: "He's just like me; when he runs out of things to say, he just blushes." In a few years, when he adds to his titles that of World's Most Eligible Bachelor, William (now 15) … [Read more...] about Prince Harry, growing up without Princess Diana
These are the best photos from every year of Prince Harry’s life
What a year it's been for Prince Harry. In May, he finally married Meghan Markle, and the world seems more obsessed with him than ever before. Since his big day, we've watched him attend Royal Ascot, speculated over his views on Donald Trump and guessed where the couple will go on their honeymoon. Luckily, Harry is used to life under the microscope. Ever since he was born in 1984, he and his brother William have drawn the interest of the public around the world. We got to know him through his mother's then-unheard of desire to give her sons a full range of experiences outside the royal bubble. As children, the boys were photographed at Disney World and homeless shelters alike, as part of Diana's attempt to expose them to the real world. Even after Diana's death in 1997, Harry was just as curious about exploring the world. After he finished school, he took a gap year in Australia, working as his father had done at a cattle station. He also worked with orphaned children in Lesotho. … [Read more...] about These are the best photos from every year of Prince Harry’s life

Megan Markle’s brother tells Prince Harry not to marry his sister
Meghan Markle's elder brother has penned an extraordinary letter in which he urged Prince Harry to cancel the upcoming royal wedding. The handwritten note by Thomas Markle Jr., 51, tries to settle old scores by saying that his sister had turned her back on her family and abandoned their father, whom he claimed had gone into debt to support her acting career. The letter, published by In Touch magazine, directly addresses the prince, pleading with him that "this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history. Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you. "Meghan's attempt to act the part of a princess like a below C average Hollywood actress is getting old." The letter also laments how their father has not been invited to the wedding and has been left broke in Mexico over "mostly her debts." "It's very apparent that her tiny bit of Hollywood fame has gone to her head, changing her into a jaded, shallow, conceited woman, that will make a fool of you and the royal … [Read more...] about Megan Markle’s brother tells Prince Harry not to marry his sister
