The versatile 22-year-old , capable of playing as a defensive midfielder or centre-back, will become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the season. Kamara is regarded as one of Europe's most talented youngsters having burst on the scene during the 2017-18 campaign. A key player for Marseille , the France youth international chipped in with a goal and an assist in 48 games in all competitions this season. Norwich 0 Tottenham 5: Son, Kulusevski and Kane strikes seal Champions League football in emphatic style
TOTTENHAM fans could be forgiven for feeling as sick as Harry Kane did on Friday ahead of this Champions League decider. In the end, they were left only with butterflies of excitement as Antonio Conte pulled off his top-four “miracle” with nothing remotely Spursy in sight. January signings Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur combined as the Swede netted the crucial opener. Kane, who had Spurs fans fearing the worst when pulling out of a media event three days ago with tummy trouble, got the second before Kulusevski struck a belter. The procession had begun in earnest by then but it got better for the delirious away fans as South Korean hero Son Heung-Min netted twice to win the Premier League golden boot. His second on the day - and his 23rd league goal of the season - was sheer magic as he blasted into the top corner before being mobbed by his team-mates. Tottenham target Brennan Johnson tipped for Premier League big six transfer if Nottingham Forest fail to win promotion
BRENNAN JOHNSON has been tipped to join a top-six Premier League club this summer - if Nottingham Forest fail to win promotion. The Wales rising star, who turned 21 on Monday, will face Huddersfield in Sunday's Championship play-off final at Wembley. Johnson was the subject of a £15million bid from Prem outfit Brentford in January while Newcastle, Leeds, Leicester and Arsenal were also interested. But Tottenham are also keen on the highly-rated Championship's young player of the season and Johnson's Wales boss Robert Page believes he is now worthy of joining a European-qualified club if Steve Cooper's fall short. Page said: "I think he's top-six now. He has shown he's got that potential and ability. "I've seen it in him for a long time and it's been great to watch his development. Premier League table without VAR ends up with drastic changes for Leeds and Arsenal
VAR has changed football, for better or worse, since its introduction at the start of the 19/20 season. Marginal offsides are no longer for the benefit of the attacker, instead, lines are drawn as referees look through a microscope, to the annoyance of fans. But it hasn't been all bad, referee's have found a helping hand if they miss a glaring incident. However, without VAR this season the Premier League would look slightly different with two glaring changes. Manchester City would still be champions, and Norwich and Watford would still face the drop, but fans of Arsenal and Leeds would have different emotions. The Gunners would have finally broken their Champions League duct, beating North London rivals Tottenham to the final berth. Spurs finished fourth on 71 points to claim a spot at Europe's premier banquet, but, without VAR, Antonio Conte's side would have only achieved 69 points. On the flip side, Arsenal finished on 69 with VAR, and the Gunners would … [Read more...] about Premier League table without VAR ends up with drastic changes for Leeds and Arsenal
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard sent warning over ‘crucial two months’ in Premier League title chase
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is facing a “crucial two months” if his side want to compete for the Premier League title, says club legend Mario Melchiot. The Blues suffered their first loss in 14 games when they handed a 1-0 victory to Everton , putting their position in the top four at risk. Their strong form before defeat at Goodison Park saw Gary Neville back the Stamford Bridge side for a title charge this season. But Melchiot, who made more than 150 appearances for Chelsea over five seasons, believes the tests of their title credentials will come sooner rather than later. Speaking to Stadium Astro after the loss at Goodison Park, the former midfielder said: “The team has to perform every time. “There are new players in that team that don’t know the league but they’ll have to pick it up quickly. “The games are coming so fast and, as [Sir Alex] Ferguson said, the league is always won in December and January. “If you don’t do well in those two months and … [Read more...] about Chelsea boss Frank Lampard sent warning over ‘crucial two months’ in Premier League title chase
Arsenal in huge financial blow for missing out on Champions League as Tottenham get transfer kitty boost of up to £110m
MANCHESTER City are set to bank nearly £53m from the Champions League next season - before kicking a ball. And Spurs ’ return to Europe’s elite will add a minimum £37m into the N17 coffers - with the potential of earning more than £110m. But Arsenal and Manchester United will earn under £17m each, and a maximum of up to £26m for taking part in the Thursday-Sunday grind of the Europa League . And West Ham ’s second successive European campaign will see them struggle to make more than a relative pittance with just £7.9m guaranteed for their place in the Conference League . The financial importance of Champions League football was again made clear by the difference between the top four’s income projections and the rest. All four Prem sides get £13.26m purely as a participation payment, as well as a share of the £28.7m first half of the English TV “market pool”. Arsenal in Bukayo Saka contract dilemma with ace ‘reluctant to commit’ without transfer clause amid Premier League slip
ARSENAL are reportedly under pressure to insert a release clause in Bukayo Saka's new contract with the winger desperate to play in the Champions League. Back-to-back defeats against Tottenham and Newcastle have left the Gunners in fifth spot heading into their final game of the season against Everton. The North London side must beat the Toffees at the Emirates while requiring rivals Spurs to lose away at Norwich. Failure to finish in the top four could play a huge role in contract talks for Saka , with Arsenal set to speak to the player at the end of the season. The England international is tied down at the club until 2024, but Mikel Arteta 's side are desperate to hand him fresh terms. Burnley RELEGATED to Championship after 2-1 defeat against Newcastle as Leeds beat Brentford on final day of season
AT least Burnley can say they went down fighting – they just didn’t expect the knockout punch to come from within their own ranks. Nathan Collins will never be able to explain quite why he stuck out a hand to flick away Kieran Trippier’s 18 th minute corner for Newcastle’s opener. And while there was still plenty of time after Callum Wilson’s penalty, courtesy of the inevitable VAR decision, that was the moment which broke Burnley hearts. Yes, there was another goal from striker Wilson to add to it, and true, the Clarets still had enough chances to save themselves. But that was the instant, that was the second, when Turf Moor just knew what was coming. At the end Collins was in floods of tears, and full credit to the classy Newcastle players who raced over to haul him to his feet and attempt to comfort him. They had no chance.
