LOVE Island’s Adam Collard faces claims he behaved like a bully at school, by a girl who sat next to him in DT class. The Geordie hunk recently said he started working out after being bullied as a kid, but according to a former classmate it was a rather different story. Sophie Clark, now 21, attended the same middle school as Adam in Newcastle and was shocked when she heard him trying to win sympathy on the ITV2 show by talking about being picked on. Speaking to The Sun Online about her experience of Adam, she said: “Adam was always really popular at middle school. “He played football and lots of sports and had loads of friends so I was surprised that he would make out it was tough for him at school.” She admits she can remember one occasion when he was targeted by bullies himself, but says it was very much a one off. Busier roads and the advent of the internet may have made "playing out" a thing of the past for most children, but Guildford is trying to bring it back. The event was so successful, residents have already planned three more and the council hopes other streets will follow suit. So in light of Guildford Borough Council's push to get more children playing outside , we thought we'd share our memories of childhood just before the era of the mobile phone.
