A MUM has revealed a midwife discussed how her "full head" of pubic hair was really "unusual" while stitching her up after giving birth. The woman recounted her midwife's bizarre comment on a Mumsnet page discussing body hair. She said: "I think full removal is really common. The MWs [midwives] who stitched up my 2nd degree tear were both discussing my 'full head' and how unusual it was these days and my women's health physio said the same." Other mums, slamming the midwifes for their "inappropriate comments", also asked if a full bush was no longer acceptable. One said: "I had the misfortune of watching Naked Attraction and was shocked at the lack of hair and how people were berated for having a postage stamp-sized amount. WE'VE been plucking our eyebrows wrong - and the mistake we've been making is set to shock. According to brow expert Sania Vucetaj our error is tweezing in bright light. According to Sania, who works for Sania's Brow Bar in New York, if we tweeze in daylight this we risk over-plucking. We should instead be plucking in dim light because it will prevent us from creating spidery, thin lines. Speaking to Refinery 29 Sania said: "The more lighting you have, the more chances you have to tweeze too much and get obsessive. “My clients who have homes in suburban areas all have that natural, bright light that comes through the windows and it causes them to tweeze more, resulting in thinner brows." Trichotillomania, also known as trich, and it ss a condition where someone can’t resist plucking their hairs, with TV personality Sam Faiers revealing she suffers from it. What is trichotillomania? The NHS website describes it as a condition where sufferers can’t resist the urge to pull out their hair. But not just the hair on their head, but eyebrow, eyelashes, beards and pubic hair are also targeted. It is more common in girls rather than boys, and mostly affects teenagers and young adults. The urge to pull out a hair intensifies until they do so, which brings them a temporary sense of relief. It can also be done subconsciously, where the person isn’t aware they’re doing it.
