Senior Moy Park manager David Mark’s witness statement reveals that just weeks before cost controls were introduced on the scheme he installed a non-domestic boiler which heats his home. Mr Mark said that he and his wife Joy – whose name the boiler is in – own and run ‘Piney Ridge’ guest accommodation, which “is also our family home, a two-storey property”.He said that it opened for guests in October 2015 – the month before RHI cost controls were imposed: “The RHI scheme provided us with an opportunity to upgrade the existing heating system as part of the conversion works. At the time, the heating for the property consisted of a 36.5kwh gas boiler (installed in 2000) and 12 kwh water heating wood burning stove. “The existing system was due for upgrading in any event and I had, from my Moy Park employment, gained a beneficial understanding of biomass boiler heating.”He added: “We applied for membership of the RHI … [Read more...] about Moy Park manager David Mark has RHI boiler at his home

Manager David Moyes has left West Ham, the club have announced. The former Everton boss was kept the team in the Premier League during his six months at the London Stadium, having replaced Slaven Bilic, having only agreed a deal until the end of the campaign. The club say they will appoint a "high-calibre" manager in the next 10 days, following reports of talks with Shakhtar Donetsk's Paulo Fonseca. Joint-chairman David Sullivan said: "I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to David Moyes and his staff for achieving the target of keeping West Ham United in the Premier League." The announcement arrived barely 12 hours after David Gold, West Ham's co-owner, said he hoped 55-year-old former Manchester United and Everton boss Moyes would remain in charge for next season. But that will not be the case, and West Ham said assistants Alan Irvine, Stuart Pearce and Billy McKinlay had also departed. Moyes succeeded Slaven Bilic in November, when West Ham were in the relegation zone, … [Read more...] about West Ham announce manager David Moyes departure
Abbey Hulton United bring the curtain down on their first season in the North West Counties League tomorrow with a visit to Bacup Borough. It’s been an incredible journey for the club, formed in 1947, since they were promoted as champions of the Staffs County Senior League at the end of last season under manager David Riley. He says it’s been a big learning curve for everyone connected with the club, but it’s certainly been an enjoyable one and he’s looking forward to bringing the season to a close with another victory under their belts. “Looking at the bigger picture I have to be happy with our season. I had set a target at the start of the season of being in and around the play-off positions. I know it was a big ask for our first season at this level, but I thought we had a chance. It didn’t quite work out that way, but I have to say overall it’s been a good first season for us,” said the manager. Riley was hoping for a top-10 finish, … [Read more...] about Abbey Hulton United manager David Riley happy with first season
West Ham United manager David Moyes has dismissed speculation linking the Hammers with a move for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi, insisting that his trip to watch the Premier League champions face Norwich City in the FA Cup on Wednesday (17 January) was not born out of a desire to run the rule over the Belgian forward. Batshuayi is expected to leave west London by the end of the month with reports linking him with a loan move to Sevilla, who are also interested in signing Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge on a temporary basis. West Ham were also hoping Antonio Conte's side would include Batshuayi as a makeweight in an agreement for Andy Carroll, though any possibility of that deal taking place has been ended after the 28-year-old suffered an ankle injury. With Chelsea desperate to sign a target man before the close of the transfer window - Stoke City veteran Peter Crouch is the latest name to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge - Batshuayi's future in the capital looks to be … [Read more...] about West Ham manager David Moyes plays down suggestions of move for Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi
