Smoking cannabis makes me a better mum – I was never the most patient with my two kids, now I am
A MUM has defended smoking cannabis as she claims it makes her more patient with her two kids. Caitlin Fladager, 27, lives in Vancouver, Canada, where recreational and medicinal marijuana use is legal. But despite this the mum-of-two says that she is constantly subjected to judgement from other mothers. But Caitlin says that lighting up a joint is no different to winding down with a glass of wine, taking to Instagram to defend herself. “Yes, I have two kids. Yes, I smoke weed”, she wrote earlier this month. “It’s so funny to my how frowned upon marijuana is. No one looks twice when a mom says she enjoys “mom juice” aka wine, after her kids are in bed. “But when a mom says she smokes weed, it’s a huge shock.” Caitlin got pregnant with her high school sweetheart Noah when she was 18 years old and the married couple now share two children, Adriana and Jack. She says she wants to “raise awareness” of how marijuana can actually help up women become better mums to … [Read more...] about Smoking cannabis makes me a better mum – I was never the most patient with my two kids, now I am
Monster husband ‘poured boiling water over his wife after she woke him up with breakfast in bed’
A HUSBAND poured boiling water over his wife after she woke him up with breakfast in bed, reports say. Ali Ay, 28, allegedly threw the scalding hot water over Rukiye Ay, 23, because he had "not been allowed to lie in." The shocking incident took place earlier this month in Konya, Turkey. Speaking on the horrific attack from hospital, Rukiye said that she wanted the breakfast treat as a "pleasant surprise." However, Ali didn't see it that way and instead flew into a rage when presented with the gesture. Rukiye then went on to detail the gruesome attack. She said: "I prepared it all and then went to tell my husband he had breakfast in bed. "He was angry and demanded to know why I woke him up, and told me not to bother him, so I started having breakfast with my daughter. "He came in still in a bad mood and told me he was going to divorce me and gain custody of our daughter no matter what I did. "He then poured boiling water down my neck. He was going to throw it … [Read more...] about Monster husband ‘poured boiling water over his wife after she woke him up with breakfast in bed’
Queen saved man from jail by intervening in court case to share vital piece of evidence
After Princess Diana's tragic death, her butler and close friend Paul Burrell was among a small group tasked with going through her belongings. Her Kensington Palace apartment was filled with beautiful dresses, expensive jewellery and her handwritten letters. But the princess' mum and sister were keen to destroy some of the items and ripped up much her correspondence - which Paul disagreed with. He believed everything should be saved for Princes William and Harry to go through when they were older. Diana's family didn't agree, but he decided to do it anyway - taking some of her things back to his Cheshire home and storing them in the loft. However in June 1998, 10 months after Diana's death, a police offer saw him pulling up at Kensington Palace at 3.30am, going inside, and coming out carrying two dresses and a wooden box. Three years later, an investigation was launched into the sale of some of Diana's private items being sold in the US. Police raided his Cheshire … [Read more...] about Queen saved man from jail by intervening in court case to share vital piece of evidence
British & Irish Lions move step closer to ‘home’ tour against South Africa
The British and Irish Lions moved a step closer to a ‘home’ tour after Boris Johnson announced plans for sporting crowds to return by the summer. Switching matches away from South Africa, where eight fixtures are scheduled for July and August, would be unprecedented in the history of rugby's greatest touring team. But it has emerged as the most attractive option following the unveiling of the Government’s "roadmap" for easing Covid restrictions in England. The Prime Minister said crowds of 10,000 could be permitted in 40,000-plus capacity venues after May 17, with a view to all restrictions being lifted on June 21. That would pave the way for normal service to resume at Wimbledon, The Open golf at Sandwich, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and England’s cricket series with Pakistan (ODI) and India. The Lions won’t make a decision before next month and insist every option remains on the table, not least as it is unclear whether the English roadmap will be followed by … [Read more...] about British & Irish Lions move step closer to ‘home’ tour against South Africa
