AC MILAN star Zlatan Ibrahimovic will SING at an Italian music festival, according to Bologna boss Sinisa Mihajlovic. The 39-year-old will perform a duet with Mihajlovic in Sanremo next month, no doubt becoming a pop sensation. The self-proclaimed "lion" is clearly a man of many talents. As well as winning trophies in Italy, Spain and England, he has a black belt in taekwondo and his autobiography I Am Zlatan was shortlisted for the prestigious William Hill Sports Book of the Year award. But those expecting Ibrahimoivic to clean up at the BRITs will be disappointed, as he is said to be an awful singer. Speaking to Sky Italia , his friend Mihajlovic said: "The two things I do least well are singing and dancing. Ibra is also a terrible singer. "At least we’ll make people laugh." COVID-19: Asda places 3,000 jobs at risk as part of online investment drive
Asda has warned that 3,000 workers in its stores are at risk of losing their jobs as the chain plans to ramp up investment in online sales. The UK's third-largest supermarket chain said the shake-up was driven by the shift in demand towards grocery deliveries which charged forward for the sector as a whole at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. A union, which fought a pitched battle with Asda over new contracts just over a year ago, said it would fight to ensure no compulsory redundancies. But Asda said that, on a net basis, its plans would create 1,500 new jobs as it was seeking 4,500 staff to drive growth in online. Advertisement It was expected that many of those tipped to lose out would be able to take on one of the new roles, Asda said. Stellantis says it expects to reach a "binding agreement" with the government, but if it cannot secure government incentives for an electric model, as well as guarantees over the post-Brexit complexities of trading batteries, it is understood it could close Ellesmere Port when production of the current petrol and diesel Astra ends this year. Ministers have been in talks with the car group since the turn of the year, with … [Read more...] about Vauxhall plant future in the balance as government guarantee sought
