THE mum of a 13-year-old who died after taking a homemade MDMA pill has spoken about her heart-breaking loss, saying: “I will grieve every day until I'm in my grave”. Carson Price was found unconscious in a park in Ystrad Mynach, South Wales, after taking a "Donkey Kong" pill at the start of the Easter school holidays. His devastated mum, Tatum, has spoken for the first time about how she was told that her son was “never coming home” and said "life will never be the same". She has now issued a harrowing warning to other parents, telling them "this could happen to any child". Tatum described the moment her husband Brian answered the door to police officers just hours after Carson went out to see his friends. He was later seen stumbling and being sick in a park after taking the drugs - which are being sold for as little as £2 - after reportedly buying them with his pocket money. UNIMAGINABLE EXPERIENCE Tatum told Wales Online: “It's an unimaginable … [Read more...] about Mum’s harrowing warning to parents after son, 13, died ‘taking £2 Donkey Kong ecstasy’

Wigan police are urging parents to keep tabs on their children after a children’s playground was torched on Monday night. Officers from GMP Wigan West have reminded families that it is not “for police” to act as parents to their children. The message comes just days after a large fire was set on William Foster fields in Ince, damaging more than £100,000 of equipment. A gang of youths also broke into the changing rooms of grassroots football team, Wigan Cosmos, smashing windows and doors and taking the furniture to burn underneath the park equipment. Following the incident, police took to Facebook to appeal to parents, saying: “Do your know where your kids are, who they are with? “It is not for the police to parent your children and respond to your child’s anti-social behaviour. “This affects what the police can and cannot respond to. “The Ince Bar at Smith Green is subject to repeated anti-social behaviour. “It is all to easy … [Read more...] about Wigan police urge parents to keep tabs on their children after playground arson
A MUM has shared a heartbreaking video of her 12-year-old daughter being viciously attacked by school bullies. Year 8 student April Ward screamed for help as she was battered to the ground in the sick brawl that was filmed and shared on social media. But now the schoolgirl's family have shared the video themselves in an attempt to shine the light on bullying. Mum Roxanne Jones said she was still in shock after seeing the footage filmed as April made her way home from Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School in Kingstanding, Birmingham, on Wednesday. Roxanne said her daughter had come home and gone straight to bed, adding: "She was not OK and I could tell immediately that something was up. We saw the video then and we just started crying together. "Bullying has been going on for so long. She's had a support worker to help her though school and things have improved. Here we tell you everything you need to know about smacking kids, and whether or not it's allowed by law... What is the law on smacking your children, and is it illegal? It is illegal for a parent or carer to smack their own child, except where it amounts to "reasonable punishment", according to section 58 of the Children Act 2004. The problem is, some people don't know what "reasonable punishment" means - with the age of the child and the force of the smack also being taken into account. The heartbroken mother whose daughter was killed when she became trapped in a lift urged parents to 'hold their children a little tighter'. Mum Lorraine Brown made the moving statement after two firms were fined more than £1.5million over daughter Alexys' death. The five-year-old died after her head became trapped between a lift and the ceiling of her home in Weymouth, Dorset, in 2015. Lorraine, who was accompanied by her husband Matthew, said the last three years has been "unimaginable". "The loss of Alexys has impacted our lives and our children's lives immensely," she said. "Nothing can ever bring Alexys back to us. The fines to us are irrelevant. "All we ever wanted was an apology from Synergy and we got that. "Alexys was a loving, carefree and angelic little girl who was full of energy, love and laughter. "I hope that what has happened to our family sheds light on others in order to avoid anything like this ever happening again. "We are now looking forward in raising … [Read more...] about Mum’s tribute to ‘angelic’ daughter, 5, killed after head got trapped in lift
