US climate envoy John Kerry travels to China
US climate envoy John Kerry is traveling to China on Wednesday for talks on how to limit global warming. His trip is the first official Chinese visit from the new Biden administration. The former secretary of state will visit Shanghai as well as the South Korean capital Seoul, the US Department of State confirmed. Kerry's visit comes at a time of heightened tensions between Washington and Beijing on several other issues, such as China's treatment of its Uyghur Muslim minority and its crackdown on human rights in Hong Kong. Sisters who started fashion empire in their garden shed now turning over £3m a year
Two sisters who launched a fashion brand from their garden shed four years ago have turned their start-up into a multi-million pound business that now employs a team of 15. Alice, 25, and Maisie Jones, 22, from Hope, Flintshire, started their empire, Sisters & Seekers in 2017 using £2,000 they’d saved from selling vintage clothes online. The duo set up a warehouse in their shed, designing and modelling ‘athleisure’ style clothing aimed at 18–30 years olds. Now, they employ a full team and have their very own warehouse in Llay near Wrexham. Alice, who worked as a junior design engineer before launching the brand, told the Daily Post they embrace UK talent and support local suppliers who embellish and embroider their lines.
