NETFLIX'S latest true crime documentary reveals the shocking true-life story of Sharon Marshall, 30 years on from her twisted death. Sharon Marshall - aka the girl in the picture - died under mysterious circumstances in 1990. She left behind a son and a man who claimed to be her husband. However, an investigation after her death suggests that Sharon wasn't who she said she was, leading to a mystery spanning more than three decades. The synopsis for the Netflix documentary reads: "A young mother's mysterious death and her son's subsequent kidnapping blow open a decades-long mystery about the woman's true identity and the murderous federal fugitive at the centre of it all." Skye Borgman, the director of Abducted in Plain Sight and Dead Asleep, helm the Girl in the Picture documentary. With its first-ever exhibition on African fashion, London's Victoria and Albert Museum (known as the V&A), the world's largest museum of applied arts, decorative arts, and design that was created 170 years ago, is attempting to address its colonial past. The landmark exhibition "Africa Fashion" features objects, sketches, textiles, photographs and films from across the continent — exploring design from the African liberation years from the 1950s to the 1980s, as well up-and-coming contemporary designers. The show aims to provide a "glimpse into the glamour and politics of the fashion scene," the project's curator, Elisabeth Murray, told press agency AFP. "We wanted to celebrate the amazing African fashion scene today. So the creativity of all the designers, stylists, photographers, and looking at the inspiration behind that". A MYSTERIOUS private elementary school founded by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith was a front for Scientology where young children were quietly taught the ways of the controversial church, a former teacher claims. The New Village Leadership Academy (NVLA) started as a homeschooling operation in one of the Smith's vacant mansions in Calabasas, California, in 2007. Between 20-30 children were educated inside Will and Jada's $20 million home before they opened a bonafide school on the nearby campus of Indian Hills High School, paying $890,000 to lease a building on the site for three years. Centrist politician Elisabeth Borne was appointed France’s new prime minister on Monday, becoming the second woman to hold the post in the country. Borne, 61, who was labour minister in the previous government, succeeds Jean Castex, who resigned earlier in the day. "Ecology, health, education, full employment, democratic revival, Europe and security: together, with the new government, we will continue to act tirelessly for the French people," French President Emmanuel Macron said on Twitter shortly after Borne's appointment .
