One in 13 Britons using the NHS Covid-19 app have been sent an alert telling them they have been exposed to the virus and must self-isolate. Department of Health bosses revealed today the application had pushed alerts to 1.7million of its users since it launched in September. A total of 21.6million people in England and Wales have signed up to the service, the equivalent of 60 per cent of the adult population. But No10 has refused to say how many are active users. Analysis by Oxford University also published today found the app had prevented almost 600,000 cases. Health Secretary Matt Hancock praised the app as an 'important tool' and said it was 'hugely effective at breaking chains of transmission'. The new recording of Love Story was released after midnight on Friday, February 12, but it quickly eclipsed the original song's current sales and even beat out many other contemporary tracks, according to Billboard . Spotify has been accused of glamorising violence by featuring a string of criminals in its official drill music ‘chart’. At least ten of the top 30 tracks on the music-streaming giant’s Sound Of UK Drill playlist last week involved thugs with convictions for offences including murder, rape and torture. Jayden O’Neill-Crichlow, who performs under the name ‘SJ’, is part of a group at No 1 with a track called ‘OFB [Original Farm Boys] HB Freestyle’. It has been streamed 5.7 million times and its video shows four rappers apparently delighting in the stabbing and maiming of rivals. O’Neill-Crichlow was a member of a gang armed with knives and a sword who chased Kamali Gabbidon-Lynck, a 19-year-old father-of-one, through the streets ‘like a pack of animals’ before hacking him to death. The US government continues to reel from a large and sophisticated hacking campaign that affected top federal agencies, including the energy department, the treasury and commerce departments, and is even said to have targeted the agency responsible for the country’s nuclear weapons stockpile. Authorities expressed increasing alarm over the hack, suspected to be the work of Russia, warning that it poses “a grave risk” to federal, state and local governments, as well as “critical infrastructure entities”. In a statement on Thursday, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (Cisa) also warned that it will be difficult to remove the malware inserted through network software. “Removing this threat actor from compromised environments will be highly complex and challenging for organizations,” the agency said.
