Online behemoth Amazon is preparing to open its first walk-in store in the UK this week, selling items such as groceries and technology, without any checkouts. The multi-billion-pound retail empire - owned by the richest man in the world - is bringing its Amazon Go concept to Britain's high streets, allowing shoppers to pick up items without tills and minimal staff. The first shop will open 'this week' in Ealing in West London, according to reports. And as with its US stores, there will be no physical checkouts, with all shopping baskets scanned - and customers charged - when they leave the store via the Amazon Go app. The concept first launched in the US in 2018 and it was first reported last year that the shopping giant was eyeing as many as 30 locations in the UK for bricks and mortar stores. As part of the tax-free childcare scheme, you can get up to £500 every three months - up to £2,000 a year - for each of your children. For disabled children, the maximum amount you could get rises to £4,000. The scheme essentially works like a savings account where for every £8 you save towards childcare costs, the government tops up an extra £2. So if you put away £8,000 a year for one child, the government will give you £2,000 totally free. A circuit break lockdown has come into force on the Isle of Man following a rise in coronavirus cases after a ferry crew member tested positive. The island, which came out of lockdown on February 1, with schools and businesses reopening fully after no reports of unexplained community cases of coronavirus for 17 consecutive days. As a result, people were pictured flooding to pubs for their first pints in nearly a month , with social distancing and face masks axed. At one minute past midnight on February 1, the island's Seven Kingdoms in Douglas opened to a flurry of customers. Huge crowds were also pictured gathering for a Christmas lights switch in the capital town on at the end of last year, with no social distancing. But, on Tuesday, Chief Minister Howard Quayle announced a new lockdown of 21 days as a result of "transmission in our community that we cannot see and that we do not understand". But Tottenham ’s Austrian opponent Wolfsberger will have to make an indirect flight both ways to avoid quarantining when they return home. Jose Mourinho ’s men will play the first leg in Budapest on Thursday after quarantine-free travel into Austria from the UK was banned. Similar restrictions mean United ’s first leg against Real Sociedad will be played in Turin rather than in the Basque country.
