LET'S be honest - when was the last time you cleaned out the fluff from your tumble dryer? A week ago? A month maybe? Well if you don't do it regularly, lint can start to build up around the motor - which causes the machine to overheat and poses a huge fire risk. One woman who knows a little something about this is firefighter Amy Niblett. Earlier this week, Amy dismantled her mum's old tumble dryer to find an astonishing amount of fluff which had built up over the past 25 years. Posting on the Facebook group Family Lockdown Tips & Ideas , the firefighter explained how her mum asked to help "de-fluffing" the well-used machine. She wrote: "I decided to take the casing off my mums 25 year old tumble dryer that she still uses after noticing fluff poking through the seams of the metal! Took me nearly 2 hours!" But while Amy expected for there to be a small build up of lint hiding in the machine, she didn't expect to find a mountain of fluff lingering around the … [Read more...] about Woman cleans tumble dryer for the first time in 25 years and is horrified by the huge mountain of lint

TOTTENHAM and Manchester United have got the green light from Uefa to play next week’s Europa League last-32 second legs on home soil. But Tottenham ’s Austrian opponent Wolfsberger will have to make an indirect flight both ways to avoid quarantining when they return home. Jose Mourinho ’s men will play the first leg in Budapest on Thursday after quarantine-free travel into Austria from the UK was banned. Similar restrictions mean United ’s first leg against Real Sociedad will be played in Turin rather than in the Basque country. The Gunners will play both legs against Portuguese giants Benfica on neutral soil - in Rome and then Piraeus. At least 38 people died after security forces tried to disperse anti-coup protesters in Myanmar on Wednesday, a United Nations envoy said. Multiple reports from several cities and towns said police used live ammunition, as well as tear gas and rubber bullets, as the military quelled protests in the most violent day since demonstrations against last month's coup first broke out. "Today it was the blackest day since the coup happened on the first of February. Today, 38 people died," UN special envoy Christine Schraner Burgener said. She said videos showing violence against journalists, and an obvious shooting of a protester, were "very disturbing." "It seems that the police used weapons like nine millimeter submachine guns. So live ammunition," Schraner Burgener said. The UN special envoy called on member states to employ all tools available "to stop this situation" and called for unity among the international community, just one day after neighboring countries called for … [Read more...] about Myanmar protests: Dozens killed in ‘blackest day’ since coup
