TOTTENHAM and Manchester United have got the green light from Uefa to play next week’s Europa League last-32 second legs on home soil. But Tottenham ’s Austrian opponent Wolfsberger will have to make an indirect flight both ways to avoid quarantining when they return home. Jose Mourinho ’s men will play the first leg in Budapest on Thursday after quarantine-free travel into Austria from the UK was banned. Similar restrictions mean United ’s first leg against Real Sociedad will be played in Turin rather than in the Basque country. The Gunners will play both legs against Portuguese giants Benfica on neutral soil - in Rome and then Piraeus. Spurs' opponents Wolfsberger, though, will have to travel to London via Slovenia, to get round Austrian restrictions. And while there are quarantine rules for travel between the UK and Spain, because Sociedad will have spent … [Read more...] about Man Utd and Tottenham WILL have home advantage for Europa League ties as Uefa give them green light to host second-legs

Queen saved man from jail by intervening in court case to share vital piece of evidence
After Princess Diana's tragic death, her butler and close friend Paul Burrell was among a small group tasked with going through her belongings. Her Kensington Palace apartment was filled with beautiful dresses, expensive jewellery and her handwritten letters. But the princess' mum and sister were keen to destroy some of the items and ripped up much her correspondence - which Paul disagreed with. He believed everything should be saved for Princes William and Harry to go through when they were older. Diana's family didn't agree, but he decided to do it anyway - taking some of her things back to his Cheshire home and storing them in the loft. However in June 1998, 10 months after Diana's death, a police offer saw him pulling up at Kensington Palace at 3.30am, going inside, and coming out carrying two dresses and a wooden box. Three years later, an investigation was launched into the sale of some of Diana's private items being sold in the US. Police raided his Cheshire … [Read more...] about Queen saved man from jail by intervening in court case to share vital piece of evidence

A MUM was left fuming after her daughter's nursery changed her name because they said it was “too hard” to pronounce. Mahinarangi Tautu, five, had just started going when her mum Paris was told staff would call her “Rangi” instead, News.com.au reports. The name is traditional of their Ngāti Raukawa heritage, a Maori tribe from the central region of the North Island of New Zealand Because of this the New Zealand woman said she “will not let this happen” as it doesn’t respect and honour her daughter’s Māori heritage. “I am sad that in 2021, in Aotearoa, a 5-year-old girl has lost the pride that comes with her beautiful name,” the woman wrote in a Facebook post, The NZ Herald reports. She explained Mahinarangi’s name is often mispronounced and mocked by her peers, leaving the young girl “embarrassed” and lacking the confidence to correct anyone. “Can you imagine your child being too embarrassed to say their name because people won’t make a decent effort to … [Read more...] about Mum fumes after daughter’s nursery changed her name because it was ‘too hard to pronounce’
