Bank Holiday DIYers and spring cleaners will be able to use Barwell Tip as usual over the weekend. The county's 14 recycling and household waste sites will be opening as usual over the coming Bank Holiday. For Barwell's site, in Stapleton Lane, this means that the site will be accessible from 9am to 7pm. These opening times apply daily during the Summer period, which runs from April 1 to September 30 seven days a week. During the Winter period, which runs from October 1 to March 31, Barwell Tip opens from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The site is shut on Thursdays and Fridays during the Winter, plus on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day as well.
