England hero Paul Gascoigne shows dance moves before he’s dropped into jungle with ex-Miss Italy stunner for TV show

· February 26, 2021 ·

ENGLAND legend Paul Gascoigne has been showing off his dance moves ahead of being dropped into the jungle with a former Miss Italy stunner. Gazza, 53, is set to make an appearance on the Italian version of ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.’ And he worked up a sweat during an unorthodox dance show in pyjamas, slippers and shades as he got ready to board a plane to Central America to star with a former Miss Italy in Isola de Famosi - Island of the Famous. Gazza, 53, is set to be thrown out of a helicopter into the sea and made to swim to dry land before braving the risk of tropical storms and poisonous spiders on the small archipelago of Cayos Cochinos 18 miles off the northern coast of Honduras. But the adventure awaiting him didn’t seem to deter his spirits as he relaxed in his hotel in Italy ahead of his weekend flight. And Gazza, who gave footie fans a chuckle two years ago at Wembley by performing the famous Floss Dance, showed he was game for a laugh after coming … [Read more...] about England hero Paul Gascoigne shows dance moves before he’s dropped into jungle with ex-Miss Italy stunner for TV show

Mystery as missing female fraudster’s ROTTING FOOT is found on beach after ‘she stole millions from clients’

· February 26, 2021 ·

THE partial remains of a business woman accused of stealing millions from her clients have been found. Melissa Caddick's rotting foot was found washed up on a remote beach, three months after she disappeared from her Sydney mansion. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission says stole at least £7.3 million in invested funds from over 60 clients, including family and friends, but the figure has been put as high as £14 million. She vanished early on 12 November last year, a day after cops raided her home in the wealthy suburb of Dover Heights and DNA testing matched the foot to Caddick. Police had found no trace of until last week when campers spotted a running shoe containing a decomposed foot on a beach 250 miles south of Sydney. New South Wales Police assistant commissioner Mick Willing said: "It remains a mystery as to when and how she came into the water. At this point we can't rule out anything. “We have kept an open mind, however given the … [Read more...] about Mystery as missing female fraudster’s ROTTING FOOT is found on beach after ‘she stole millions from clients’

Phillip Schofield slams environmental disaster as ‘billions of tons’ of PPE is dumped

· February 25, 2021 ·

Phillip Schofield made his thoughts on PPE disposal very clear as he hosted This Morning on Thursday. Phillip, 58, and his co-host Holly Willoughby were speaking to a gondolier live in Venice about the effects the pandemic has had on the stunning Italian city. The Venetian man explained to them: "Tourism has gone down 94%. From October we stopped working because all the regions were closed." Phillip then commented: "I can remember right at the beginning of lockdown, everyone was saying, 'well, all the humans are indoors, so nature can recover'. "That was before we dumped billions of tons worth of PPE all over the planet, but did you notice that the canals got clearer and the place was cleaner when there were no tourists?" he added. "Yeah sure," the gondolier replied. "The canal, the water was cleaner. So it was possible to see the bottom and fishes for like two or three months." Last year, The Mirror reported on how throwaway masks were the latest plastic menace found … [Read more...] about Phillip Schofield slams environmental disaster as ‘billions of tons’ of PPE is dumped

UN report warns governments ‘nowhere close’ to climate targets

· February 26, 2021 ·

A UN climate change report has found that global efforts to reduce CO2 emissions "fall far short of what is required" and that nations must "step up" to fulfil promises made under the Paris agreement. In a stark warning ahead of a make or break COP26 climate conference in Glasgow later this year, countries were criticised over their emission reduction plans - known as Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) - and urged to make "more ambitious" commitments. Following a legally binding international treaty on climate change signed in Paris in 2015, almost 200 countries set a goal of limiting global temperature rise by 2C - or ideally 1.5C - by the end of the century. Please use Chrome browser for a more accessible video player 'It's too late to avoid climate change' The Initial NDC Synthesis Report looked at how close 75 of those countries - representing approximately 30% of global greenhouse gas emissions - were to meeting those targets. But UN … [Read more...] about UN report warns governments ‘nowhere close’ to climate targets

Scientists accidentally find life beneath ice shelves in the Antarctic

· February 15, 2021 ·

Scientists have stumbled upon sea life far beneath the ice shelves of the Antarctic - in a discovery which shows how creatures have "amazingly adapted" to a frozen world, according to a study. Marine organisms were found on a boulder on the sea floor underneath the ice in what scientists say "raises so many more questions than it answers". Researchers drilled 900m (3,000ft) through the Filchner-Ronne ice shelf during an exploratory survey into the sediment core - but instead hit a rock of mud on the ocean floor. Footage from a camera sent down the hole captured the existence of stationary animals, like sponges and previously unknown species, which were attached to the boulder. Scientists have long held the theory that all life becomes less abundant as you move further away from open water and sunlight - but have said they will now need to find "new and innovative" ways to develop their findings.
