President Donald Trump's charitable foundation, which he never donated to, is finally in the process of being shut down. In a statement received by NBC News, a spokesperson for the Trump Foundation confirmed that it is being shuttered. "The foundation continues to cooperate with the New York Attorney General's Charities Division, and as previously announced by the President, his advisers are working with the Charities Division to wind up the affairs of the Foundation," the statement reads. "The Foundation looks forward to distributing its remaining assets at the earliest possible time to aid numerous worthy charitable organizations," the statement adds. The foundation can't close yet, though, because it is still under investigation by the New York Attorney General's Office. The investigation must be completed before finally closing it down. The Washington Post reported that the Trump Foundation transferred "income or assets to a disqualified person." FBI was ‘tipped off by an informant what documents Donald Trump kept at Mar-a-Lago’
The raid on Donald Trump ’s Mar-a-Lago home was set off by an informant who provided authorities a detailed description of classified documents the former president kept in his basement, according to reports. Someone close to Trump tipped off authorities, who planned for the raid to take place on Monday when Trump was out of town, several government sources told Newsweek and The Wall Street Journal. While the FBI and Department of Justice have not shared details behind the raid, reports indicate it occurred to recover classified documents, even after the National Archives retrieved 15 boxes of records from Mar-a-Lago earlier this year. The informant who told law enforcement that Trump still had important documents in his home was able to pinpoint the exact location they were being kept, according to both publications. Officials had hoped to keep the raid more low-profile, prompting it to take place while Trump was away in order to keep it more discreet, a … [Read more...] about FBI was ‘tipped off by an informant what documents Donald Trump kept at Mar-a-Lago’

White House Says Biden Fell On ‘Very Windy’ Day. Donald Trump Jr: Technically, It Was A ‘Moderate Breeze’ | The Daily Wire
Donald Trump Jr. fact-checked the White House on Friday after a spokeswoman blamed President Joe Biden’s fall on the stairs of Air Force One on the wind. White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the weather was “pretty windy” when asked about Biden’s stumble while boarding Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews on his way to Atlanta. Video online shows Biden , 78, stumbling several times and falling once while walking up the stairs to board the plane before reaching the top, turning, saluting, and boarding. “It’s pretty windy outside,” Jean-Pierre told reporters aboard the plane. “It’s very windy. I almost fell coming up the steps myself. He is doing 100 percent fine.” Trump Jr. then pulled up a general weather report for Joint Base Andrews for Friday, showing that wind speeds were expected to average 14 miles per hour. He also pulled up a guide on wind speeds from the National Weather Service (NWS) showing that wind blowing 13 to 18 miles per hour is … [Read more...] about White House Says Biden Fell On ‘Very Windy’ Day. Donald Trump insists ‘I did nothing wrong’ and there’s a mission to ‘get and destroy’ him
Former President Donald Trump declined to answer questions from the New York attorney general, then slammed her efforts to ‘get and destroy’ him and said he ‘did nothing wrong’. Trump, who faced questioning under oath in a civil investigation into his business practices, on Wednesday morning pleaded the Fifth. In doing so, he exercised a right guaranteed by the Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution to refuse to answer questions in order to avoid incriminating himself. In a lengthy statement shared on his Truth Social platform , Trump attacked the woman behind the probe. ‘Attorney General Letitia James openly campaigned on the policy of “Get and Destroy Trump,”‘ he stated. ‘This political attack on me, my family and my great company is her despicable attempt to fulfill that cynical, and very corrupt promise.’ Trump added that James’ investigation over the course of three years ‘is a disgrace to the legal system’, state taxpayers and ‘a violation of the solemn rights and … [Read more...] about Donald Trump insists ‘I did nothing wrong’ and there’s a mission to ‘get and destroy’ him
Letters: What’s in the White House belongs to the people, not to Donald Trump
As I understand the facts, former President Donald Trump was asked by the National Archives to return documents he had no right to remove from the White House. The reporting from many news sources also say he took classified information — some of it top-secret material from the White House. The White House and all the documents generated in the White House — The People's House — belong to the people. Not one individual. If you go to a hotel and take a towel or fluffy white bathrobe you are stealing. It is my understanding that he was asked several times to return the material. He did not comply with the requests. The search of his Florida estate was justified by a warrant from a federal judge. The FBI called the Secret Service at his Florida home and told them they were coming. No doors were knocked in. It was not a raid, as the former president spun it. Before pro-Trump politicians and supporters denounce the FBI's search, it would be wise for all of us to wait and see what … [Read more...] about Letters: What’s in the White House belongs to the people, not to Donald Trump
Alex Jones ‘texted naked photo of his wife to Donald Trump ally Roger Stone’
Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones reportedly sent a notorious Republican political operative and ally of ex-President Donald Trump an ‘intimate’ photo of his wife. A lawyer for Sandy Hook parents revealed the detail after he reviewed the contents of Jones’ phone from the past two years. Jones had previously told the audience on his InfoWars show that there was an intimate photo of his wife on his phone that was accidentally handed over to attorneys for the plaintiffs in his defamation trial. He did not mention that the photo was sent to GOP consultant and former convicted felon Roger Stone, who is a longtime friend of Trump. ‘I’m a little concerned about it, because that intimate photo was sent to Roger Stone. And I don’t know if that was consensual,’ Attorney Mark Bankston told the Young Turks in an interview on Monday night. Bankston said he was concerned that it might violate revenge porn laws now on the books in several states. He said he was willing to give … [Read more...] about Alex Jones ‘texted naked photo of his wife to Donald Trump ally Roger Stone’
Senate candidate slammed for comparing Obama and AOC to Trump raid
A Republican U.S. Senate candidate in California is facing criticism after comparing the FBI 's raid of former President Donald Trump 's Mar-a-Lago residence to hypothetical law enforcement action against top Democrats . "Imagine the backlash if while he was in office, Trump had Obama's home raided and AOC's phone seized," Mark Meuser, a constitutional and election law attorney, wrote in a Twitter post on Wednesday. "Are you tired of the double standard?" he added. The raid of Trump's Palm Beach, Florida, residence on Monday was reportedly related to an investigation of potentially unlawful handling of White House records after he left office. Trump blasted the raid , and in a statement on Tuesday said the raid "was an unprecedented infringement of the rights of every American citizen." In reaction to Meuser's tweet, several social media users blasted him for comparing the raid to former President Barack Obama and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez , a … [Read more...] about Senate candidate slammed for comparing Obama and AOC to Trump raid
Eric Trump should testify about Russia, a House Intelligence Committee member says
A member of the House Intelligence Committee wants the panel to interview Eric Trump, the son of President Donald Trump, as part of its investigation into Russia's election meddling. Representative Joaquin Castro (D–Texas) told Newsweek last week: "We still have many interviews that are being scheduled, more documents that we're receiving from witnesses and other evidence. We need to visit with some of the principals, including Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and others that we've not had a chance to sit down with yet." Asked if such discussions were ongoing or would begin soon, the Texas congressman added, "Yeah. Most of these requests have already been put forward by Democrats to the majority." A spokeswoman for Castro later clarified that the process of requesting the interview had not started and that there no current plans to begin the process.
