CHINESE and Iranian hackers have stepped up damaging cyber attacks on the US over Donald Trump's fiery clashes with the two countries, it's been reported. Dozens of high-profile American banks, businesses and government offices have allegedly been hit by computer spooks in recent weeks. The news follows a report by US intelligence chiefs last month, which warned China, Iran, North Korea and Russia were all planning to increase network attacks. It warned they would “increasingly use cyber operations to threaten both minds and machines in an expanding number of ways – to steal information, to influence our citizens, or to disrupt critical infrastructure." US intelligence chief Dan Coats painted a dire picture of a danger-filled world to the Senate, contradicting the Trump administration’s optimism on North Korea and pessimism on Iran while beating the drum of Russiagate.
