IT looks like video games do make you violent - or at least when a shop assistants refuse a refund on one they do. Footage that went viral on Facebook shows a man losing his temper at a GameStop before trashing the entire store. The clip begins with the disgruntled customer saying he doesn't want store credit, but wants his money back. A cashier responds that even if the man were returning a brand new game he might not get his money back. He says: "There's nothing you can do about it. That's just their policy." He adds: "When I scan your receipt, it's going to see when this one was bought, and it's going to automatically give you trade credit." The customers responds: "I'm getting really p***ed off right now." The cashier seems to turn his attention to the next customer as the man walks out of the camera view. Then there is a loud noise and the customer violently pushes over a display rack laden with merchandise. The man takes his game off the counter - which the caption identifies as … [Read more...] about Shocking moment angry gamer smashes up shop when refused refund … proof video games really DO make you violent?

0 Have your say A Melton supermarket has come to the aid of people who find it a challenge to shop in a noisy, crowded store by introducing a special ‘quieter hour’ once a week. Who says that this team and this style of football can’t win in the play-offs? Fulham reversed their curse at Craven Cottage tonight, winning the first play-off match in their history, as unlikely as this might sound, to reach the Wembley final on 26 May. They did so with a performance of brave, expansive, exciting football, the way they have played all season, even amid accusations that they needed to be less principled and more pragmatic to fight their way back into the Premier League. But here at Craven Cottage, the loudest it has been in years, Fulham gave a performance to prove all those doubts wrong. They outplayed an organised, physical, disciplined Derby County side, who came here with a 1-0 lead, to block them off and slow them down. It was only Scott Carson who kept the game level in the first half, but even he on this form could not stem the tide forever. Ryan Sessegnon’s shot and Denis Odoi’s header were too much for him, and were the deserved reward for … [Read more...] about Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon and Denis Odoi turn play-off semi-final around to beat Derby and reach Wembley

After a weekend in Beverley celebrating our anniversary, the boyfriend and I knew we needed one more thing to look forward to before the morning phone alarms were turned back on, so we headed straight to Sessions Spa. Located in Beverley’s North Bar Without, just before getting to Molescroft, it’s amazing to think such a grand, former courthouse could leave you feeling so isolated from the rest of the world, and I left feeling like a new woman. The spa has recently undergone an amazing transformation, creating an incredible atmosphere that left us untied from our phones and diaries, and the opportunity to spend quality time doing the thing we love best – absolutely nothing. We were shown to the changing areas where we got into our cozzies and the most luxurious, over-sized dressing gowns in any spa I’ve been to. Hotels take note, I do not want small dressing gowns in rooms, I want the robes straight from Sessions. We began our relaxation retreat in the lounge … [Read more...] about Sessions Spa in Beverley: an oasis of calm right on our doorstep
