Brent Schrotenboer USA TODAY Published 3:31 PM EDT Sep 3, 2019 In December 2002, a former Olympic bobsledder named Ian Danney formed a fitness training business in Arizona that soon became all the rage with many big-name clients in pro football and baseball. Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow is an avid customer of his. Other patrons over the years include Justin Upton in baseball and James Harrison and Demaryius Thomas in the NFL. But Danney also has had several clients who have tested positive for banned performance-enhancing drugs. And now he’s coming under fire in a lawsuit that raised questions about off-the-books treatments, unapproved injections and drugs that might have been imported illegally. In pretrial deposition testimony July 25, Danney admitted he imported an anti-inflammatory drug from Australia called pentosan and injected it in at least one client despite not having a medical license. Nate Davis USA TODAY Published 7:29 AM EDT Jul 22, 2019 Take it from me, few things are more fun (if thankless) than the prediction business. So, with training camp doors swinging open, it's time to reveal my now-annual NFL record projections. The methodology? Using the latest pre-camp info, I predict all 256 regular-season games on the 2019 schedule, letting the chips fall where they may. From there, I add bonus prognostications for all 11 postseason contests. The results? Well, I've correctly forecast a Super Bowl eight months ahead of schedule (Seahawks over Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII) ... and also had some spectacular misses, including way-off-base outlooks for Seattle and Indianapolis just a year ago (both teams reached the postseason, of course, avoiding last-place finishes I envisioned). But 2018 produced extra fun when Seahawks LBs Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright kindly (and correctly) dismissed my predictive powers. Wagner even followed up to rib me after … [Read more...] about 2019 NFL record predictions: Will Patriots return to Super Bowl?
