Texas Senator Ted Cruz has warned that the U.S. could see violence and rioting from the left if Roe v. Wade is overturned. While speaking on Newsmax on Tuesday, Cruz claimed that if Roe v. Wade is overturned the "left will lose their minds." However, the senator did not explain his reasoning for predicting riots or violence and did not give any evidence to suggest this would be a likely occurrence. A video clip of this snippet from his interview with Shaun Kraisman has also gone viral on Twitter with over 180,000 views.

Eight states will hold primary and runoff elections Tuesday, which will be the first electoral reactions since the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade last Friday. Too many of us take for granted that we cannot be denied passage on an airplane, bus, train, or taxi. We know that our political views will not be considered when we hop on. One cannot be turned away by any of these transportation services, nor by the post office, UPS or Fedex, even if — gasp! — you voted for Trump. Or even if you still believe that Trump won the 2020 election. Heck, you can’t be turned away even if you are a rotten person and even if you fully confess your character to the ticketing or package clerk. We know, accept, and take for granted that all of these things are irrelevant, but we don’t always think about the reason why they cannot be considered. But those reasons are important. We cannot be turned away by these providers because they are classified as common carriers; and a common carrier may not treat you differently than anyone else, regardless of your views, beliefs, or deplorability level (unless you are actually committing an illegal act). Donald Trump appeared recently to keep open the possibility of Ron DeSantis being his running mate for 2024 amid speculation the Florida governor has his own ambitions to be president—but electoral college rules make it inadvisable for the pair to join forces. In a June 30 interview on Newsmax , the former president was asked if he could "envision a world" where there would be a Trump-DeSantis ticket in the next election cycle. In response, Trump did not dismiss the idea and instead played down any suggestions that there's a rift in the pair's relationship following continuing speculation DeSantis wants to challenge for the presidency, setting up a potential fight against his longtime ally for the GOP nomination. "Well I get along with him. I was very responsible for his success because I endorsed him [for Florida governor] and he went up like a rocket ship," Trump said. Trump went on to list other candidates who he claims benefited from earning an endorsement from him, … [Read more...] about Why Donald Trump won’t pick Ron DeSantis as 2024 running mate
