Wales looks set to enjoy a second sunny and warm bank holiday to end May. The current warm weather looks set to continue, but could be temporarily disrupted by thunderstorms that are lurking close to the UK. High pressure is set to continue to dominate throughout the week with heat building into the late May Bank Holiday weekend, and temperatures soaring to around 5C to 8C above average. Temperatures in Wales could be warm in the low to mid 20Cs. The forecast is great news for revellers heading to Swansea's Radio 1 Biggest Weekend to watch Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. Welsh Channel 4 weather forecaster Liam Dutton said: "This week's weather will largely be influenced by high pressure. "However, low pressure will be loitering just south of the UK. "At times, it'll drift close enough to increase the risk of showers and thunderstorms for England and Wales. In the run-up to Christmas any sign of snowfall or a glittering early-morning frost is met with a happier reaction - but it's the new year now, and it's just a chore. Monday morning was bitingly cold and frosty - but what does the North East weather have in store for us tomorrow?
