In a year of full of Royal highlights and just five months after tying the knot, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced they are expecting a baby. The announcement was made this morning, October 15, via Kensington Palace as the couple prepare to embark on a Royal tour of Australia, their first joint trip outside of the UK and Ireland. The full statement read: "Their royal highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that the Duchess is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. "Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public." Love Island reject Dr Alex George appears to have served himself up as a fairy godmother to the new Royal baby. The young medic threw his hat into the ring to be the unborn child’s doctor minutes after it was announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child together.
