Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) executed a search warrant on former President Donald Trump’s Florida home at Mar-a-Lago because they reportedly believed that Trump held back turning over all the classified information that was supposed to be sent back to the National Archives earlier this year. The former president delayed returning 15 boxes of material, which included documents marked as “top secret,” until there was a serious risk of legal action being taken. The Wall Street Journal reported that the FBI executed the search warrant “in part because they believed additional classified information remained at the private club.” The report said that federal agents removed more than 10 boxes of material from the property, which is being sorted at a local FBI field office. You might think that the FBI search at Mar-a-Lago yesterday would provide a welcome opportunity for a Trump-weary Republican Party. This would be an entirely postpresidential scandal for Donald Trump. Unlike his two impeachments, this time any legal jeopardy is a purely personal Trump problem. Big donors and Fox News management have been trying for months to nudge the party away from Trump. Here was the perfect chance. Just say “No comment” and let justice take its course. But that was not to be. The former president has discovered a new test of power: using his own misconduct to compel party leaders to rally to him. The physician who was dragged off a United Airlines flight in Chicago this month was verbally and physically abusive, and flailing his arms before he lost his balance and struck his mouth on an armrest, according to the aviation officer who pulled the man out of his seat. Surveillance video from inside the airport shows Dr. David Dao and his wife boarding the aircraft separately. Later, a woman who appears to be Dao's wife exits the jetway frantically, and hurries back onto the flight. The portion of the surveillance video showing Dr. Dao being removed from the flight appeared to be redacted. The Chicago Department of Aviation on Monday released the officer's report of the incident, in response to a Freedom of Information Act request by The Associated Press. Actor Johnny Depp’s comeback appears to be in full swing after he reportedly landed a multi-year, seven-figure deal to continue as the celebrity face of Dior’s bestselling Sauvage cologne.
