Derbyshire County Cricket Club is assessing the potential impact of its "principal partner" - Derby-based training provider Aspire Achieve Advance (3aaa) - being placed in administration. The company, which was one of the biggest apprenticeship training providers in the country, told up to 500 staff and 4,500 learners the news last Thursday at 3pm and immediately handed out redundancy notices and closed courses. The Department for Education, which pulled the plug on funding to the company, has now submitted the findings of investigations into the firm to the police via Action Fraud and Derbyshire police has confirmed it is involved. A deal between the cricket club and 3aaa was first struck in 2014, which saw the ground renamed as The 3aaa County Ground - the first time the club had a naming rights partner. 3aaa also became Derbyshire's NatWest T20 Blast shirt sponsor. The 21-year-old has mainly featured in second XI games this season and Essex have now confirmed he will leave when his contract expires this year.Taylor was a regular for the England U19s but hasn’t been able to make the breakthrough at first team level yet. Batsman Ben Duckett has left Northants and signed for Nottinghamshire. Northants have announced that South African all-rounder Rory Kleinveldt has left the club.
