One first-grade teacher went viral after sharing the items she keeps in her classroom to protect her students against potential intruders. The teacher, Kelsey Vidal or @mrsvidal, posted the series of videos to TikTok where they received nearly 2 million views in less than 20 hours. The videos can be viewed here . In the wake of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas–the most recent in a long list of school shootings –teachers around the U.S. are finding ways to protect their students in case their school gets targeted. Russian state TV hosts on Wednesday mocked countries that have reported cases of the monkeypox virus as the outbreak continues to advance across Europe and North America rapidly. Outbreaks of the viral disease have been reported in nearly 20 countries where the virus is not endemic. The infectious disease, which was first discovered in monkeys, is spread by close contact and is usually mild. In recent weeks, more than 100 confirmed infections have been reported mainly in Europe, with additional suspected cases. In a video clip shared by Daily Beast columnist Julia Davis on Twitter , Russian state television hosts Evgeny Popov and Olga Skabeeva, and Russian politician and member of the State Duma Alexei Zhuravlyov derided the nations which have reported monkeypox outbreaks. Desperate parents run towards school during gunman’s deadly rampage
Video footage shows parents frantically running towards their children’s school in Uvalde, Texas, despite a gunman running rampant inside. Salvador Ramos, 18, wore body armour as he gunned down everyone in his path using an AR-15 assault rifle yesterday afternoon. The teen gunman killed at least 19 children and two teachers before being shot dead by police. Children who were killed at Robb Elementary School were aged between seven and 10.
