One day in late June 2001, Rosario Porto, a petite, dark-haired lawyer from Santiago de Compostela, northern Spain, sat nervously on a flight to China beside her husband Alfonso Basterra, a quiet man from the Basque country, who worked as a freelance journalist. The couple, both in their mid-30s, were on their way to adopt a baby girl. Parents have flooded social media with responses to the question posed by TV's Supernanny asking if some parents have become “lazy” and “enabling” with their kids. Jo Frost, a parenting expert and TV personality, tweeted about teachers having to potty train youngsters and some kids still needing to have their bottom wiped at seven. Her points prompted an avalanche of responses on social media after she urged parents to give their views. Many supported her logic and agreed it's unacceptable, while others said it's unfair to criticise parents, the Daily Mirror reports. After making it clear she wasn't referring to children with medical conditions, Jo wrote: "Toddlers still on pacifiers, teachers potty training 5YO, 6YO still in pushchairs, bottoms still being wiped at 7YO.
