People living in five postcodes in England are being told to get tested for coronavirus after the UK discovered its first cases of the potentially more transmissible Brazilian variant. Up to six cases of the mutant strain have been identified, including two in the same household in South Gloucestershire and three in north-east Scotland. Those five cases are linked to recent travel to Brazil. In the sixth suspected case, a test in England came back positive but officials have no idea who the person is or where they are because their registration card wasn't filled in. Desperate officials have issued an urgent appeal as they try to identify and isolate the person amid fears they could be passing the virus on to others.
