Simon Cowell has said breaking his back "wasn't that bad" and that he has fully recovered following his accident last year. The reality TV judge was injured when he fell off an electric bike outside his home in Malibu , California, in August. His treatment involved six hours of surgery, which included the insertion of a metal rod into his back, and doctors reportedly said he had been lucky. After missing Britain's Got Talent last year and much of America's Got Talent, Cowell , 61, is now preparing to make his return in the US. Speaking to weekly US entertainment magazine People, he said: "I've got to be honest with you, it wasn't that bad actually, breaking your back. Advertisement "I mean, it wasn't great for three to four weeks but after that you get through it." Cowell said he had been doing lots of exercise and now feels "better than I did before the accident". LADY Gaga's dogwalker was allegedly shot four times in the chest by two thieves who stole two of the star's three French bulldogs. Ryan Fischer was walking the superstar's pooches , Koji, Miss Asia and Gustavo, just before 10pm on Wednesday night when the shocking incident occurred. He was reportedly shot outside of his West Hollywood home on Sierra Bonita. When cops got to the scene, they reportedly found the dogwalker conscious but barely breathing, and was transported to hospital in "grave" condition, officials said. Footage from the scene showed a man on the ground clinging to Miss Asia as he received on-scene treatment. Another man is later seen removing the French bulldog from the victim's arms and comforting it. The victim appeared to be alert and talking to officers, KABC said. TIGER Woods’ family worry he may get hooked on painkillers as he recovers from his horrific car crash. A source said the golf icon , who has been in rehab, has a “deep-seated” issue with prescription drugs — and warned a “potentially huge problem” lies ahead. THIRTY BBC staff lapped up an online guide to drinking water funded by taxpayers. Critics blasted the hour-long webinar, titled Hydration, as “pointless and patronising”. The event was among several courses aimed at supporting workers’ mental and physical health. A description emailed to staff said: “Attending this webinar will help you identify the importance of being fully hydrated and find practical ways to achieve this state every day. “It will help you understand how being fully hydrated will improve health, wellbeing and performance.” A Freedom of Information request revealed 30 staff took part but the BBC did not divulge the cost of the course.
