A singer/songwriter from Dallas, Texas, will be kicking things off for his upcoming UK tour and is coming to the Midlands. Andrew Combs has released his Canyon of My Mind as well as the video for his new single Blood Hunters. Premiered by the prestigious Rolling Stone Country, The Ry Cox directed film is cinematic in scope with nods to sci-fi and horror, not too distant from Netflix hit show "Stranger Things" and an example of the gifted songwriter's exciting musical direction on the hotly anticipated album, Canyons of My Mind. Already catching the attention of UK media with previous release "All These Dreams", including publications Mojo and The Line Of Best Fit, Canyons Of My Mind will no doubt be Andrew's UK breakthrough. THERE'S a reason why it's called the Music City. I've just cleared customs at Nashville International and I've already spotted Keith Urban (the country music superstar, American Idol judge and Nicole Kidman's husband) wheeling a baggage trolley through the terminal. Counting a population of 609,000, Nashville surely has more music professionals per capita than anywhere else in the world: singers, songwriters, guitar pickers, record … [Read more...] about The tables are turning in Nashville, Jez Smadja discovers (From Basingstoke Gazette)
