Multiple people are feared dead after a car lost control and crashed into a crowd of spectators at a motor rally in Africa. The incident is believed to have taken place at Busiika, central Uganda. There are no confirmed deaths at this time. Video from the scene shows how dozens of bystanders rushed to the aid to the injured. A number of people are seen sprawled on the ground as attendees fan them with sheets in an apparent bid to cool them down. One person at the scene wrote on Twitter: "Three rally fans in Busika ran over by a rally car that lost control." Another account wrote: "Rally fans try to help their counterparts who have been run over by a racing car at Busiika. The rally car lost control and rammed into the nearby fans. TAKING its name from the 1976 film The Gumball Rally, Gumball 3000 is a celebrity motor rally which takes place on public roads. It was started in 1999 with the idea to combine cars, music, fashion and entertainment. When is the Gumball 3000 rally? It starts on Sunday, August 5. One hundred cars will race across five countries and two continents over eight days. It starts in Covent Garden on Saturday, August 4 when fans can look at the cars. The actual race begins at 11am on Sunday, August 5 and finishes in Tokyo on August 12. The rally will see participants including US Grammy winning rapper EVE, Baywatch actor David Hasslehoff and UK rapper Wretch 32 drive though Switzerland and Italy before being flown to Osaka, Japan, where the race will continue to Tokyo. BREST, 21 June (BelTA) – Brest welcomed the participants of the international motor rally Victory Without Borders on 21 June, BelTA has learned.The rally kicked off in Shymkent, Kazakhstan on 9 May. In Russia, the participants of the race united in one column and moved towards Belarus, with Brest being the final destination.
