Chancellor Rishi Sunak has delivered the biggest Budget since the Covid crisis emerged, with almost every single person in the UK set to be affected by today's announcements. New changes will affect up to six million Universal Credit claimants, homeowners, first time buyers, and even apprentices with a £126m pledge to get 40,000 more young people on job schemes over the next 12 months. Elsewhere, there are new tax thresholds and minimum wage rates coming into force in the new tax year. One of the biggest announcements for workers, however, is the extension of furlough, which will carry millions of people through to the end of the year. MICK SCHUMACHER says he is ready to carry on his father's legacy in Formula One as he nears his debut season. The son of seven-time world champion Michael , has joined the Haas team for 2021 as part of his affiliation with the Ferrari young driver programme. Mick, 21, won the Formula 2 title last year and is carving out his own racing career. And he says he can cope with the pressure of having a famous father. He said: "The name? I have never said that it is pressure, and I am pretty sure I will never say that because I am very happy to carry that name back into Formula One. "I am very proud of it. MERCEDES have released images of the car they hope will power Lewis Hamilton to a record eighth world title. Hamilton , who is currently tied on seven with Michael Schumacher, will be going all out in 2021 to move into a class of his own. The Brit already has the most wins (95), pole positions (98) and podium finishes (165) in F1 and can now go on to become the undisputed champ. WWE’s Kayla Braxton has received a whirlwind of support after the beautiful backstage interviewer came out as bisexual. The stunning 27-year-old, real name Kayla Becker, revealed the news last night on Twitter. Braxton posted an emotional message that seemed to be referring to her race as she narrated a time from her schooldays. With thousands of pubs closed for good and many more on the brink due to the pandemic the industry faces a bleak future unless Rishi Sunak steps in with a rescue plan, landlords warn. And the Daily Mirror is demanding the Chancellor uses today's Budget to deliver a lifeline to the nation’s much-loved locals. Mr Sunak is expected to announce a range of measures he claims will help boozers - including extending VAT cuts until the summer. But landlords warn they do not go far enough and will not allow pubs to build up profits lost after months of closures, putting jobs and livelihoods at risk. It comes as a report found nearly 12,000 licenced premises have shut for ever since December 2019.
