Jonathan Woodgate may be on holiday but he won’t get much chance to relax: his brain will be whirring and his phone red hot. The new Boro boss has vowed to transform the way a formerly functional team play with the emphasis firmly on a high-tempo, high-pressing attacking game geared to goals. To make that work effectively he will need to overhaul the personnel to inject pace, enterprise and a real punch up front.
