MOSCOW, Aug 16 (PRIME) -- Russian Internet provider Akado, controlled by units of businessman Viktor Vekselberg, will enter the mobile connection market as a virtual operator working on networks of mobile carrier T2 RTK Holding, working as Tele2, business daily Kommersant reported on Thursday. Group of companies Akado President Sergei Nazarov said Akado will start providing services of mobile connection under its own brand by the end of 2018. Tariffs could be unveiled in September, and services will be offered to existing clients of Akado, including households and firms. The move is a tool to keep and improve the quality of the subscriber base. “We see that the subscribers receiving a complex of high-quality services, like television, the Internet, and mobile connection, are less inclined to flow away,” Nazarov said. Akado will test services of the virtual operator and plans to subscribe several thousands of clients in 2019. The UK Government says rural areas will get priority for new fixed broadband and 5G mobile connections. It is part of the Future Telecoms Infrastructure Review (FTIR) plan, which the UK Government announced on the first day of the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells. Do you work in a mobile hotspot - or a not-spot? If you’re based in north Warwickshire, it might well be the latter. A national campaign has been launched by the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) to find – and eliminate – areas where people struggle to get a mobile phone signal. The BCC has been logging ‘not-spots’ across the country and registering the data with network providers. More than 500 responses have been received across the country and 40 of those have been reported in Coventry and Warwickshire . A quarter of those in our region were in the Atherstone area, with further issues in Old Arley . The Rugby area, including Dunchurch , has had several locations logged along with Binley Woods, Earlsdon , Meriden, Stratford, Warwick, Leamington and Southam also having not-spots reported.
